Athens SnapStop

Parthenon reconstruction works in progress. Part of west pediment (after restoration) waiting to be placed back, up to Propylaia. Kekrops and Pandrossos, finally in the open air, like the rest of us, feeling  the morning October's breeze.

The two-figure group is identified as the legendary king Kekrops and one of his daughters, perhaps Pandrossos. Kekrops is seated with “himation” wrapped around the lower part of his body, ending to a snake’s tail. His daughter has her arm around his shoulders.
